Hi everyone!
I just got back from a trip to Washington D.C. and (of course) I took lots of photos. I've been posting them on my blog: www.johnwphotography.blogspot.com . Please check 'em out! I'm open for critiquing here or via comment on the blog.
Thanks and Happy Easter!
Hey! I was once just like you (not that I'm now an expert), just checking things out and experimenting with what looks good. That's totally the way to go, before you know it, you'll see how wrong you were about something, or that doing more shots a certain way is a lot better.
I'll start out...
I don't especially like number 1, I find it a little confusing, and simply not appealing, but that's just me. Number 2 is amazing! Maybe a little more light so that they'res something more than just black in the lower left fourth.
Try giving us a comparison.
2 is subtantially better, but I also agree with a5i736, the leaf isn't really interesting, you might be able to find better ones out there.
It's still a really great photo, and a great idea.
Chats, like AIM, Yahoo IM, and many others. Instant messaging mainly.
Littleman: never hurts to find good game website, I like www.addictinggames.com
Or, you could check out and critique my blog! It's www.johnwphotography.blogspot.com
Hope you have a boredom free day!
Wow! Absolutely stunning! What kind of lens do you have? It must have a big zoom.
(I can't help mentioning that you said "shooting ducks." very funny, whether or not it was intentional, I love it)
Thanks a lot everyone! I don't have time to look through Google photos of catbirds, starlings, and blackbird right now, but I definitely will soon!
Thanks!
P.S. Digital Flower - Thanks for the ID tips!
I like the first one, but the bench is a little out of focus. As for the second, I think it's great, but is lacking in color, you might want to just make it black and white.
^Please note that I posted a larger version, it's post number 6.
I took the photo at Walden Pond in Concord, Massachusetts, USA. It was quite warm, I believe it could've been June.
Thanks a lot!
