    Some recent stuff

There isn't really too too much as far as lighting goes. With exception to #4, these are all just single light setups. #4 has 2 lights. One behind them as a backlight, and then one camera right to light the couple. I then just cloned out the flash/stand so you can't see them anymore. #1 is...

New Tamron SP 70-200MM F/2.8 DI VC USD

Bringing back the some what dead by replying to this thread... But anyways, I just got my Tamron 70-200 VC yesterday and used it last night at a session. I took around 300 shots with the tamron 70-200 VC mounted on my canon 5D Mark III. All I can say is that I am EXTREMELY impressed. Tack sharp...

Destination wedding in Mexico - Has anyone done one?

Between my wife and myself (assuming she will let her carry on be one of my camera bags), I should be able to get most of my gear right on the plane with us, with exception to light stands/tripod etc... Any idea what they would think of wireless flash triggers being in a carry on bag?

Destination wedding in Mexico - Has anyone done one?

Hi, I am going to be shooting a destination wedding in Mexico (Mayan Riviera) in January 2014. I am just wondering if any of you have shot a wedding in Mexico, and know a bit about what I am aloud to bring in terms of equipment?? I talked a Mexican consulate in Canada and she basically said I...

Corporate photo with a sunrise over the ocean?

I would nicely ask them if they could show up just before the sun comes over the horizon. Your speedlights will be enough power then, and the sky will probably look nicer.

Lighting a Banquet Room with On-Camera Speedlight?

I've made VERY similar bounce cards to this before. They work great. OP, all you have to do is head down to a Michael's Craft store (or probably any craft store), and pick up a couple sheets (black and white) of "creatology fun foam". The ones I bought were 12"x18" sheets. Glue a black and...

I'd clone out the little squares? in pictures 2,3,5 and 6. Not sure what they are, but they are square shaped, and my eyes keep getting drawn to them.

    hotshoe softbox

I have a very similar one, maybe even the exact one. I like it. Haven't used outside yet, but as long as there isn't crazy wind it should be just fine on a sturdy light stand.

    wedding rings with christmas bokeh

I batch edit all of my photos to low res for web viewing, and in the action it places the watermark in the same spot. Yes I could have done this photo separately and placed it in a different spot, but for all intensive purpose I figured it wasn't necessary.
