Saw this guy on a telephone pole on my way home; pulled over and snapped a few shots of him. (the sun was setting so he has a bit of an orange tinge)

Okay, I shot these for my son...the problem once we got to the location was that I couldn't think of poses....I should have had something written down. Doh!

Took some shots of my brother for his website (trying to make him look trustworthy :) ). He's a lawyer...wish I'd had a bookcase of law books to put behind him...

I've only been a member of this forum and have enjoyed it. But I was reading a discussion earlier and it mentioned that some people have joined other Photography forums...so it just got me wondering...what other good Photography Forums are out there. :camera:

I'm trying to work on my portraits...and talked my son into helping a bit... For these I was using a shoot through umbrella on my right and bouncing a flash off the wall on the left.. I'm thinking I need something for the hair... I don't know, what can I do to improve these, like move the light...
I live in Florida and had to take a business trip up to Delaware and wanted to get a picture to capture the feeling of cold...it was 22 degrees...very cold to me.
A recent visit to the Jacksonville Zoo in northern Florida, it was a hot 78 degree December 28th day. Plus I was testing my 2x teleconverter for my 50-200mm...I'm happy with the results...just wish it was a bit sunnier.

I recently purchased some old OM lens's for my E-510. These lens's are all manual and I've read that I need to do stop down metering to use them properly. I've never heard this expression and I can't find it in my manual.
I'm thinking I would use spot meter...with the f-stop pre choosen on...
