I've been working hard to build a career in MLB photography and my dream finally came true this season as I've been hired to be an intern for the Gwinnett Braves, the Triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. The biggest game I'd be shooting ended up being my first day on the job! The Atlanta...
I just noticed this offer on my local Groupon (Atlanta area). For $16, you can get a "photoshoot" with the following:
"eight sheets total of the same image, with one 10"x13", one 8"x10", four 5"x7"s, ten 4"x6"s, and 16 wallet photos divided among them"
This really got me thinking, because...

I have a 300mm f/2.8 AF-S Nikkor lens with a TC-17E II teleconverter (shooting with a D7000), which should make it a 510mm f/4.8 lens, but every photo I take with the combination come up as a 700mm lens in the EXIF info. What's the reason for that?

I have a Nikkor 300mm f/2.8 AF-I lens that takes great photos but when looking from one end to the other, I can tell that it could use a cleaning on the internal glass. I'm curious to know what it would typically cost to have it cleaned on the inside, and also if it's worth it. Will my photos be...

Selling a used Nikon D90 body. Shows a small amount of use on the exterior. The shutter is clean. I always kept the shutter well protected. It has a Meike grip attached to the camera. This is the same as the MB-D80 grip. The button for the pop-up flash needs to be fixed in order to use the...
I recently had a shoot with a child for the first time (he's only 19 months old). It went great, and I've learned how difficult children can really be

I wanted to get more "likes" to my fan page on Facebook so I offered a photoshoot with one of my friends who I know is open for anything. Though she looks young in the face, she's of legal age for anyone wondering. The first 3 were shot in a wooded area by my house and the last 2 were shot at an...
I finally got myself an umbrella lighting kit and I gave it my first try yesterday for my friends' senior portraits. I'm looking for some C&C so I can get some advice for if I'm positioning the lighting right, using the right amount of power, etc.

I'm planning on getting the D7000, but I just noticed that the battery grip for it, the MB-D11, costs anywhere between $250-$500!! Why is it so much? I paid $60 for my MB-D80 battery grip on my Nikon D90. Is there any actual reason why this new one costs so much?
I finally finished my website and I'm trying to expand my photography business in my area. I built the website up myself, so let me know what you think!!
There's an intro page when you first click on the link and it automatically plays a video that was shot last week about my photoshoots...
I do outdoor portrait photography in the Atlanta area and I'm looking to use a real lighting kit. I love my Nikon SB600 flash and it's great for bounce lighting in tunnels and places like that, but I've been getting into a lot of situations where I could use something better than just a SB600...
I'm trying to get the hang of senior portraits, so I'm looking for some C&C. I shoot senior portraits at the high school unless the student desires other

I shoot at a lot of Atlanta Braves games and I use a Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 lens with a 1.4x teleconverter making it a 98-280mm f/4
I haven't tried the older-version of the Nikon 300mm f/4 lens but it seems decently priced.
Has anybody tried the Nikkor 300mm f/4 lens and have any opinions...
I attended a Martin Prado autograph signing today held in Atlanta (he plays for the Braves), and while I was standing in line, I noticed some guy about 2 people in front of me getting a photo signed that I had recognized as a photo I had posted on Flickr of Prado. I don't post my full-res images...
