Thanks guys!
Similar to the Stuffed Teddy was my technique in the past, but it's quite difficult to hit a cool shot that way...
The remote is a goood idea...but I heard that most of them have poor build-quality.
The wired ones often have too short cables and the wireless don't always...
Hey folks,
This might be a totally stupid question but for some reason my self-portraits turn out soft or out of focus almost every time....
The reason is clear:
I try to maunally pre-set the focus to a distance where I will try to in the shot...
It's easier when smaller aperture, but...
I love the way you shot the last picture!
It looks like the police-officer put something/someone on fire and then just turned his back on it to walk away, without even bothering anymore...
The people in the background look scared and crouch together and the side, shocked by what the...
I own the 50mm 1.4 and it's just rockin for the price....
When it's possible (when I know I won't need Zoom-ability) I take the 50 1.4 instead of my 24-70 L - THAT's how sharp it is
I love Lightroom - its quick n' dirty :greenpbl:
It's just simple and easy to get good results within short time...
All the basic stuff is available and that's what I just need in 90% anyway...
I'm not a Photoshop-Pro or anything, just basic knowledge, so I usually just use it to get rid of...

#1 looks like you're turning into a werewolf ...
How much time are you spending on PP with shots like these ?
May I also ask about lightning and setup?! You take and prepare all that just by yourself?
Pat
Sorry, might have sounded a little too offensive!
It is just that my eye tries to find something "special" in each photo...
for example the focus point, underlined by the DOF, or in your pictures I would have tried different angles or shooting heights...
You shot almost all pictures from your...
It's true, the colors seemed to be really nice!
My fav is #6 because it's a very creative one....that's a bit missing in the others imo...(look more like snapshots)
But #6 is good to try different styles and colors....tried it in B&W?
Like to see it...also a little cropped....give it a...
Yeah, kinda sucks for him!
Was just his 3rd champcar race ever...before Formula1 Test-Driver and Atlantic-Driver...
He finished 6th....started 3rd :(
But what sucks even more, now that it's Indy, it's not sure if he can keep driving...he needs to find Sponsors for $2 Mio. otherwise some...

Hahaha - I love it! What a stylish pose to throw up in
And how nice you set the exposure - nice line of "flowing" vomit --- you must have damn good reflexes
what my question would be:
what excactly is the difference between a macro and a non-macro lens other than how close you can get to the subject to get the macro?!
Let's say there were two Canon 100mm lenses on the market, one is macro and the other just normal:
Of course the macro one will get...
Thanks!
That's I think was what I misunderstood in the first place! I never really shot any landscape so I didn't look too much into it...
The 135mm wouldn't be used for it anyway :)
I tested the lens with the chart:
It a little weird 'cause depending on the focal-length I set it, it has either a little back- or front-focussing problems.
Not too extreme, but sometimes the text that's supposed to be in focus is almost out of it...
It also varies at different f-stops...
Nice Pic!
I'd say that you should stick with Nikon....Just not worth all the new investments in new lenses, flash etc. if you should switch to Canon or so...
Stay a little longer with your D60 (you gave yourself about 6months) and maybe you can manage to get some more $ together. Sell the...
Yeah, I know - dont wanna change physics but that was my first test on something like that and I just a little surprised 'cause I expected to get sharper images out of the camera without post-sharpening at f-stops above f/9...
So, if I understand you right:
ON APS sized cameras it's normal...
