    Just a few from 2012

Well, I guess not. Thanks to those that offered their opinions. I appreciate it.

Any other feedback? You know, on the actual photos?

    Just a few from 2012

I had to go look, but, yes, it looks like Nikon shorted me 1 mm. Apparently, it's a 17-35.

    Just a few from 2012

Thanks. Well, last time around, you asked for more meat, so that's what I was trying to post this time. As far as more people in the photos, I guess that isn't really what I was going for. I was more going with minimize distractions and concentrate on the subject. I think that is more my...

    Just a few from 2012

At first, I didn't agree with you because I was more going for the lights in the background, but as I look at it, I do think it would have been better if I would have had the roses in focus. Either way, definitely could have been better. I agree. Probably should have fixed that. Yep, should...

    Just a few from 2012

I was wondering the same thing... Plus, Linda seems to be posting a lot in the last few minutes. I'm guessing a 'For Sale' Post is coming up in another few posts. Edited to add: Well, that was quick. Linda is already gone.

Out of curiosity, does anybody have any feedback not related to fake eyelashes?

    Just a few from 2012

Well, for camera equipment it varies depending on the shot. Detail shots are usually a Sigma 150 2.8 Macro on a tripod. Closeups are generally a Sigma 120-300 2.8. Pull back or wide angle is generally a Nikon 16-35 2.8. General stuff might be a 50mm prime or a Nikon 35-70 2.8. Camera body...

Being asked to shoot a wedding when you aren't a wedding photographer

Well, as I said, I've given the same advice dozens of times and I don't think it's a complete waste of time, but I personally don't visit the site before hand. Occasionally, I will get on their website and look at their 'weddings' page and most of the time, they have stuff that's been shot there...

Being asked to shoot a wedding when you aren't a wedding photographer

No problem... But then again, nobody is responding to my 2012 thread, so maybe all my pictures suck and you should just do the opposite of what I do.

Being asked to shoot a wedding when you aren't a wedding photographer

Because there is no such thing as a 'core list'. It varies by the couple. Some want a table shot of everybody there. Some want formals. Some want candids. Some want a mixture. As far as what most everybody wants, I'll give it a shot... Getting ready: Makeup Shoes Dress Jewelery Bouteneirs...

Being asked to shoot a wedding when you aren't a wedding photographer

A couple of things to consider... First, the biggest red flag I saw in your original post was that you felt you needed to scout the venue. I understand why you wrote that. Heck, I've probably given that same advice on this forum...but that is usually to somebody who just got their camera and...

    Just a few from 2012

Just getting all my photos back on my computer after the crash, but figured I would post a few from 2012. I'll get more up when I get my computer where I want it to be. As always, C&C welcome. Here are some of my favorites from 2012... ***Got my computer back up so went ahead and combined...

The Photo Forum Crashed my hard drive

Oh, for what it's worth...I did load all my photos into Photoshop through Bridge Review mode...seems to be working just fine.

The Photo Forum Crashed my hard drive

Possibly, but then again, I don't have to buy Bridge since it came with CS5. In any case, I am transfering all the recovered data back to my harddrive, so I should have my 'Best of 2012' thread up in the next day or so...

Well, back up and running. New harddrive and it's running good as new. Now to see if the new harddrive can load 16K photos. ;)

    Nikon D90 'errors'

Are you saying that you are using your memory card like a flash drive? If so, yes, that is relevent. It would easily explain the error you are getting.
