That is odd. Sounds like an internal problem. Might be cheaper to buy another body as they sell for around $100-150. Repair will likely be higher.

Yep....I think 1987 was it's intro year. I liked it, you could push it to 6400 with no lose of detail.
Scotch 1000 color.......the grainiest film EVER! Even Konica's 3200 speed color had less grain......LOL

That is a 4x6 (8x12 12x18 16x24) format or in film or full frame sensor terms standard 35mm format. So there will be some cropping going to 5x7 or...
