the pic was taken when i first got my camera over x-mas break...it was with that b&w kodak film thats c-41 processed so the Giant near my house...

Canon has a 50mm 2.5 macro lens. Whether or not you can get to within an inch, I'm not sure. Nice sharp lens, though.
