    Color Film and that Pastel Color

    I always feel bad sending my negatives because I KNOW they are soooooo dirty. The local lab says they clean them but I think that's BS.

    Newbie scanning question

    Epson flatbed scanners are great but you would for sure have to cut the negatives down though. Id look for an Epson V600 or higher model number....

    Thank you for all the info. Ill try shooting some 35mm at various exposures like suggested and go from there so Im not wasting a bunch of 4x5.

    I've always heard you should over expose your color film by a stop or two and bring it back down to the right exposure when scanning to get that...

    You could always shoot some portra 800 and just convert to B&W. Or like the others have said, you can shoot your 400ISO film as if its 800, and...

    Tmax is 100% my go to when I need to shoot a quality B&W film followed by Ilford Delta 100. Tried Ilford HP5 finally and probably wont ever buy it...

    Loading Cut film and Finger prints

    I wash my hands with a strong dish soap like Dawn then I bare hand those bad boys into the film holders. Haven't ever had an issue with finger prints.
