Couple shots from the last few weeks.

Few more shots of the same elk. A few of them are just busy with distractions in the background.

That specific shot is actually at 100% crop. I didn't alter it at all in the way of cropping. I really like that specific shot and am normal on the fence about cropping out parts of an animal like the antlers. I was going for something a little different with this set. I am not saying that I...

Lol. Those dang prairie dogs can be a handful! Easy to find and it seems like it would be a cake walk to get pictures. Ha! They will test a guy's patience.

Couple shots from the last few weeks.

I have been spending some time over the last few weekends trying to run down a few whitetail and elk photos. All shot with the new Sigma 150-600 1. I spent a lot of time with this buck. He was tough to keep tabs on. 2. Another shot of the same buck. 3. Up close and personal with a Bull Elk...

    Bears- Katmai National Park

I visited Katmia myself a few weeks back. It was an experience I will never forget. I enjoyed it enough that I plan to visit again in during future visits to Alaska.

A walk in the woods | Tamron 150-600 | Low light

You will quickly learn that you can effectively hunt deal or take pictures. Mixing the two always results in you getting cranky. I know this. From experience.

    Careful out there kiddos.

I would agree completely. I would be a liar if I denied acting about like this little feller when I stumbled on to it. For those of you that are on FB. :-) https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10152681257177744&id=184431752743

    Careful out there kiddos.

This snake actually went right back to resting after it struck me. Curled right up in a ball and ticked his head away. I actually moved him about 5' from where he started to get a shot that wasn't of him in deep grass. This is a cell phone pic but orbits exactly how he went back to after I...

    Careful out there kiddos.

I really appreciate that! This is the first set in a month or two that I am really proud of! Several pictures in this set turned out great!

    Careful out there kiddos.

I have been around several of them and caught a good number as well. Never to do anything more than let the person or people with me touch them. Their scales are all ridged but they are amazingly smooth to touch. They are awesome creatures. As long as you respect them, then they are never a big...

    Careful out there kiddos.

Was out yesterday evening and very literally stumbled onto this little guy. Thankfully my leather boots to the grunt of his cranky after I stepped on him while walking through a field. Never saw him, never heard him until I was coming down with my foot. He started rattling and I barely put any...

    Raided Snerd's honey hole today.

I think you would understand where the tittle of this thread comes from. I am an avid hunter and my thoughts were exactly as you stated. A persons honey hole is just about never seen as a dirty thought concerning hunting and fishing. You bunch of pervs. Carry on

    Raided Snerd's honey hole today.

I forgot how much I enjoyed running around on the Wichita Mountains with the camera in hand. I enjoyed the morning Man, the elk are really coming along. Bachelor group #1 She posed real nice. #2 Can you see it??? The prize of the morning. I loved this. The fact that he was 7...

and this is what happens when...

The runny grease paint/face paint is their deal. It's a team thing. All these shots came from a set of three games on the same day. They weren't posed or set up. The young lady on the right is in the process of doing a team type cheer that all of the parents/player/fans are very familiar with...

I think they really enjoyed it as well. The team decided to pitch in and buy a 16x24 of this for the coach. Several parents also bought prints of it for their kiddos.
