Hi all,
First time here. Just got a D7000 and someone told me I could set the camera to shoot both Color & BW at the same time(camera will produce two pictures) but I cannot figure out how to set this up. Do I need to use both SD slots and then assign instructions for each?
Thank in advance for...
I'm taking a last minute trip to Yosemite and I have some aerochrome type film and I was unable to get a true yellow and orange filter to get the proper effects but I do have an 85a and 85b filter my question is if I stack these two filters will I have a true orange or something close to it? I...
Recently decided to go through all the photos that I have for my book in order to find out which ones are good enough and which ones I need to reshoot.
This photo is kind of problematic because it's hard to see the mushrooms. But reshooting it wouldn't help because stewed beef and mushrooms are...
I tried out a new printing lab and received some test prints from them. After calibrating my monitor I compared the prints to the images on screen and they looked very close in color (though not quite perfect). I then downloaded their ICC profile and when I did a soft proof using it, the...
Hi everyone,
New here. I enjoy flicking through the threads and learning from your pictures and criticisms. I was wondering if I could get some feedback on this picture I took for Wake Forest University's annual Holi festival. Thanks!
The eggplant looks pretty much the right color and the rice is fine.
The sauce in the center was tomato colored and the chicken had no yellow or orange.
No cheese.
I had no success fixing it in PS or LR but I'm no expert.
Help would be very welcome.
Hello !
I will try to upload one photo I took each day for one month.
I spent 30 minutes in front of fish today because I wanted a nice shot, and those guys didn't want to do what I expected..
Finally, I took that photo and I'm pretty happy! What do you think about it ?
Hello - new guy here and would like some feedback on a portrait composition I made.
All constructive feedback is welcome.
Thanks to everybody in advance for taking the time to comment.
Just returned from a vacation on a Greek Island and had a great time.
Friendly, warm, and generous people and I am now thinking of moving from a town to a village, here in Portugal.
Came to the conclusion that people have more friends in villages than in towns.
Back to photography.
I knew...

It's 3264 x 2448
I'm pretty happy with the photo for my cookbook but quality wise can I use it?
Photos in the book will be abou 7x7"
I only have only a few months photographic experience and would appreciate any...
Some help with lighting and color please.
Just my second attempt at using a softbox and reflector.
I wanted to get some shadows which my natural light photos didn't have.
I've got shadows here but don't like them much.
Should the light box have been higher and pointing down more?
In...
I went back to Beavertail State Park Tuesday to shoot the waves--it was a small battle all night. Get close, shot, run away from the wave. Get close, get hit by a wave, use my body as a shield, shoot, run away from the wave. It was a lot of fun! Glad I went, and it was a beautiful night. I...
