    This is a typical occurrence you see yearly when cattle are being moved from one piece of property to another. The highways tend to get a bit crowded, not to mention a mess once the cattle leave their manure behind.

    Nothing gets the attention of another wild stallion like a serious posture. The show of possible engagement is taken seriously by all stallions in the area. The wild bachelor stallion Muskogee was getting ready to challenge a band stallion for his band of mares and foals.

    The beautiful blue-eyed mare of the McCullough Peaks herd brought new life into the fold. One more member of a historic tribe that can be traced by DNA back to the original Spanish Mustangs of Cortez. Some McCullough Peaks horses tested as descendants of horses owned by the Royal Family of England.

    Wild horses are very unpredictable, so caution is never thrown to the wind. This day as I was changing lenses on my camera in front of my truck, I looked up and I see a wall of multi-colored coats stampeding my direction. It was a moment of pure joy listening to the thundering sound of their hooves.
