My cousin wants me to take some photos at his wedding this summer and I've never really photographed people before. I'm going to do some practicing on some friends beforehand, but just curious what everyone's #1 piece of advice is for people photography?

Since it will be a wedding...it's all about capturing the moments. I'd avoid planned out people posing. Shooting candids is the way to go. Your aim is to wait for the opportune moment and shoot it. Think photojournalism with more creativity involved...ie rule of thirds, depth of field, incorporating the subject in their environment. And don't be afraid to stand out while crouching down or darting back and forth to get those shots.

Get the eyes, sharp, clear, and open.
