18-35 VS 12-24 or another one?

Assuming money were not an issue, which one of these lenses would you choose on a D7100? And why?

Nikon AF-S 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G ED

Nikon 16-35mm f/4G ED VR

Nikon 17-35mm f/2.8D ED-IF

Nikon 12-24mm f/4G IF-ED AF-S DX



Or else, which other wide zoom from anotehr manufacturer has similar characteristics?

To be used for what genra of photography?

On just maximum aperture alone I would choose the Nikon 17-35mm f/2.8D ED-IF AF-S Zoom Nikkor Lens

Otherwise the focal length ranges are for most intents and purposes essentially identical.

12-24mm, on a DX frame that's the only one on the list that's an ultra wide and the range going up to 24mm is my "zone" where I do most of my shooting. Depends on the range you want for your preferences. Personally my 10-24mm and 35mm are just about all I ever use 95% of the time. I just love that ultra wide end especially.
