I have a Nikon D70s. I bought 2 lenses for it as I am trying to get into portrait/fashion photography. I bought the 55mm f1.8 and the 55-200mm nikkor lenses.

I have been using them both a lot. But I have yet to use the lens that came with the camera.

It's a 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor lens.
What can I use this lens for? I mean what situation is it best to come in handy? Especially in a high fashion style photoshoot.

The 18-70 is a great all-purpose carry around lens. It goes from a wide angle to a short telephoto, with rapid focus and pretty good optics (except for some distortion near 18mm) all around.

Quiet and quick too. Mine is really sharp. I love it. It is my favorite lens.

I use the 18-70 for a lot of landscape photography and it works great. I would like something a bit wider such as a 12-24 but the 18-70 is decent and produces quality photos. I would use the 18-70 over the 55-200 if I was shooting in the 55-70 range.
