I was so excited this was my first night time shot and it was in Chicago the night was a bit foggy but not to awful bad. My ISO 100, f/16, Exposure time 30. What do you think? Did I pass?

Pretty good. Have a cable release?- Go for some longer exposures.

awesome, I live about 2 hours from chicago, and am deffinetly going to be taking some trips this summer for some first time shots. why the low ISO? I was under the impression that in low light conditions you are to use higher ISO, like 800 or 1600? hey, maybe I'm wrong, I'm still learning. In any case, a cool looking shot, maybe a little dark? Just looks kind of cloudy/foggy or something to me.

Honestly I'm just learning I also Have this shot ISO 400, f/5.6, exp. 1.6s

The foreground whisps of cloud give a strange effect there, almost looks like some of those buildings are transparent. Try playing with the perspective tool in Photoshop or GIMP to align that water edge with the bottom of the image, then recrop to keep it squared.

Thanks for the suggestion I can use all I can get. We don't have a cable release but I should buy one, we had a remote but the battery died.
