Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Here are two shots of my daughter i took this afternoon, using my d3100, 35-1.8 and reflector. I'm experminting with RAW now, and really not used to the PP. C&C would be much appreciated. Especially regarding composition and lighting. Please forgive any chopped body parts, she was not in the mood to have her picture taken. I was quite the ordeal. So I just snapped a few.

The first one is far better than the second. The second badly needs the fill light that was present in the first one. Her skin has a gray tone to it because of the lack of light whereas in the first it is a healthy skin tone. The white on the edge of the window frame is right at white and the pupil of here eye is close to black (RGB 12,12,12 or so). No stark shadows or anything. You did pretty well in my opinion.

Thanks! I think I'll go back and retry editing that 2nd one. I'm really not sure what I'm doing in PP. Its a completly different ballgame, but i LIKE it!

Okay....Here is a re-edit of the second one, but I don't think its quite right either.......any suggestions?

Oh my, she is precious!

The focus looks a little soft, could be my eyes though. I like the 2nd edit much better!

It's a lot better, but I don't think it's quite right either. I don't shoot people very much so I'm a terrible person to be giving portrait advice. The light just looks harsher or something, I can't quite put my finger on it. There are some not quite shadows around her mouth and neck that don't look right to me. It just doesn't have that diffused, relaxed, something feel to it that the first one does.

I didn't notice the catch lights in her eyes originally so I didn't think you used any fill light, but I see it now.

Okay, here is another one from the same set. Is it too blown out on the bottom right corner?
