....thinking I might have a pretty good handle on syncing Lightroom cat.'s,I got adventurous ,and installed Windows 10 on my new laptop (came with 8.1).Then I proceeded to install 10 on my office 'puter (Windows 7).Now Lightroom won't open on the office 'puter.Soooooo,because I have everything (well,98%) backed up on another folder,I did an uninstall/re-install on office 'puter.Still nothing.WTF?????

...that sucks is the correct answer,and appreciate Lew's answer,most.....never would've thought of googling that query.....just kidding...of course i looked elsewhere,before i would ask here.Only found about 73 different answers.Thank you all for playing,and please tip your waitress..................

I guess it depends on what workaround you were using to sync a catalog to multiple machines. Always looked like something that would create a problem.

Now I just use Smart Previews if I want to work on a set of images on another computer and then bring those changes back into the catalog.

Might pay to check if the win10 installation "upgraded" you video card driver. Most lightroom problems seen to be caused by video driver incompatibilities .
