200$- 4 Digital Camera

hey folks, I would like to buy a new digital camera for hobbiest\noob puropses.
Dont need anything complex.
main condition, under 200$ the closer to 100$ the better.
and also compact will do just fine, I thought about Canon A530, maybe A610.
what do you think?
Also, how is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ3?

My sister just bought an A530. The pictures aren't bad. For the price it looks like a decent camera.

A side by side comparison of the camera's you spoke about. I dont know much about point and shoots, but I thought someone better reply before you do a blood vessel.

I have had the a610 for about a year (from 35mm SLR that I will soon replace with a DSLR). Good camera, images, features. A little large to carry around with you in small pockets, but battery life is excellent with disposable litium ions. At the finest setting, you can print a good 8x10 with no problems.

I use a tripod and the consecutive shot (burst) feature to make up for the delay in shutter response.
