200+ pounds of slides - how to digitize?

I seen a video on youtube that used a slide projector, timer and a dslr. Once they had it set up it was a pretty automated process.

I'm curious, can you explain your approach?

You don't know what you are talking about. A slide duplicator can be used for changing slides to digital without noise.

Noise? Oh please do explain skieur. I'd love to hear how a duplicator will somehow magically increase SNR....

ETA - looks like it has a flashtube - which is very cool. I guess I can see how Skieur could mistakenly believe this option would provide "lower noise"; though this isn't really accurate.
