Looks like you had some really tough lighting situations to overcome... and did it fairly well. I am wondering, "Why not 'go away from' the tough lighting?" I don't think the backgrounds are worth the compromise. You're certainly on the right track, though. The posing in the second view is nice... I might have shown at least one of his hands.
 
I'm with Christie about hands.

I prefer portraits with nature in the background, I'm not a fan of studio shots with artificial lighting. I think you did pretty well with it!
 
Decent posing but that is definetly shots that need some form of fill light, whether it be reflected light or flash.
 
for traditional 'senior photos', these arent the greatest. the rules of traditional senior photos are meant to be broken however, and you have done splendidly at that. these are some of the coolest senior photos i've seen on this board. i like that first one better than the second, very unique. I think these are wonderful.
