No longer a newbie, moving up!
well good luck. I lost 35 lbs. this summer after being diagnosed with multiple heart conditions. it was mostly through skipping meals and portion control. Once the weight started coming off it was easy. I have been maintaining it pretty good. I am hungry a lot but keep a few granola bars/fruit snacks handy for emergencies
