This is my 2nd attempt at shooting a " Live Model ". These are just a set of Fall Photos that I did today for my Fiances little sister birthday. I know Im still learning, and have a lot left to learn. But we were both super happy with these. ( Im getting a sb600 Flash this coming up week, so no more on camera flash! )

Feel free to CC, Thanks guys!

( Still got some cropping to do before I get them printed for her Bday )

Good set, exposure good throughout, so is the focus.

Composition could use some work on #2 and #3. #2 is too centered, and #3 has her way off to the left with too much dead space to the right. And also on #3, you cut off part of her hand. A big no-no in portraiture.

Work on those points and you'll have a bright future shooting ports.

I like #4, nice colors behind her, and the contrast with the old wood rail on the dock.

Wonder how that photo would have worked with a CPL?

Thanks guys. I noticed I felt more at ease shooting this set. And I didn't even realize I cut off her hand.... Now, I know something else to look out for. Thanks alot

Hi guys. I am new to the forum and I have a newbie question. I can't see the photos in the first post, what do I need to do to view them? I made sure that I was signed in, but they are not appearing. Thanks.
