At the time of purchase my Canon 55-250 IS was not compatible with tele-converters/tele-extender. I was wondering if there are any now that would be compatible with it, Canon or 3rd party.

If I am not mistake those teleconverter(tc) require EF mount lens (even with third party companies made TC), not EF-S. And they usually recommend using with a telephoto lens with lens max aperture of f/2.8 or wider (for AF to work)
