I believe that many new photographers like to shoot at night . But the beginning is often found that the effect is not ideal. In fact, once you have tips to them , you can easily shoot a high level of night picture.

Skills 1. Bring your own tripod
When shooting night scenes usually takes a long time exposure , so the camera can be hidden to maintain a clear picture . In order to avoid damage due to vibration and photo effects , it is best to use a tripod to minimize shake.

Skills2. Reduced sensitivity (ISO)
I believe we all know that high sensitivity and faster shutter speeds can be obtained at the same aperture value to minimize shake when shooting shock problem, but it will make the photo to produce noise. Especially when shooting night scenes, a long exposure can make shadow noise especially obvious, so if environmental permits, should use the tripod and low ISO value capture in order to obtain the best effect.

Skills3: Use a large aperture lens to the viewfinder
When we put on the lens, the aperture of the lens automatically to the largest open. In dark environments, larger aperture can make more light into the lens , so that a clearer picture on the viewfinder. For example, two photographers are at the same time, same location shooting night scenes. One using a maximum aperture of f/2.8 lens and another using a maximum aperture of f/5.6 lens, use f / 2.8 aperture on the observation of the photographer picture can significantly brighter, photographers can also make it easier to see clearly the details.

Skill 4: Use a small aperture shooting
Looks there will be some contradictions, I just said to use large aperture lens, why now again to say to use a small aperture shooting? The reason is simple, the use of large aperture lens is used for the convenience of the photographer when viewing to see better, but when shooting turn aperture small because of the following two reasons:

Small aperture make greater depth of field, so the scenery is not affected by the shallow depth of field and blurred ; If there is lighting at night , use a small aperture to shoot the lights can be turned into a star so the effect is more prominent.

Skills5: Long time exposure
Shooting at night one of the common techniques is long exposure time (slow shutter value to 10 seconds, 30 seconds or hours), can be used for car rail, rail, sea waves, etc. Long exposure can not only make waves become smooth or record the car red light path, you can also make some usual invisible to the naked eye, light effect is absolutely fascinating, you must to try!

Skills6: Set White Balance
When shooting at night is not recommended to use the automatic white balance, because in the dark , the automatic white balance is easy to become inconsistent , leading to photo chromatic aberration. When shooting night scenes you can use the white balance " tungsten " mode , but of course to the prevailing environment to select the most appropriate model. In addition to the photos stored in RAW format allows photographers to adjust the white balance by hindsight , more convenient.

Skill7: Beware of overexposure
If the night using the automatic exposure (ie Auto / P / Av / Tv / S / A) mode, it is prone to over-exposure of the case. The reason this happens is because the camera will be a wide range of misleading the dark, and so overexposed photos. So, when shooting night scenes, we can use the full manual mode or B shutter (shutter open until the photographer has to make it off), so you can set the appropriate shutter and aperture yourself, of course , to find the right combination of aperture shutter requires experience, all beginners can shoot a few more to see the effect. If thou want to know whether there are overexposed photos can be observed in the photo spot is clear. In other words, under normal exposure to shoot the spot, as the most common lighting, seems to be very clear. Conversely, if the photos over exposure, the spot will be "melt" the feeling, the line will not be clear.
