Here is what I was greeted with as I got out of bed this morning...

I love the colors in the first, but the lens flare is killing me! I'm not worried about trying to fix it in PS, but does anyone know how I can reduce it the next time I shoot a sunrise/sunset?

i'm not a light expert, but I think anytime you include such a bright light source in the frame (ie the sun) you will have flare. i think that just adds to it... you might try a ND filter, +4 or so, but i'm not sure that would eliminate it... i did a search on google for "eliminating lens flare" and came up with several interesting hits...

Cool..thanks! I was too lazy to google for it..hoping that someone here would already know the answer. :)

I dunno..I guess lens flare has its place where it looks good, but I always like a 'pure' image of a sunrise or sunset too.
