A couple from yesterday...

Took my camera to work yesterday and snapped these. ..any C&Cs appreciated...

The first one I don't like the portrait orientation and it needs some curves work as it seems flat. The second one I like. The horizon is crooked but that is an easy fix. I would crop the left side up to the second railing. There isn't much of interest there and it would help the leading line from the rail to drop the eye off at the wind generator.

I agree w/ Scuba - the first one doesn't work well.

With the second, I, too, would crop the left side up to the second railing. I'd also crop out a fair amount of the bottom so that the sky is what dominates. I'd still have the railing coming out of the bottom right corner though, as it's a nice line.

Cheers guys...I'll amend them when I finish work. Maybe the top one would benefit from being portrate and cropped. ..

You may be able to salvage the first by cropping out some off the top and increasing contrast. The second, as above.

i may be the oddball but i like the first one but needs more contrast and clarity maybe?
