A couple pictures, ended up in 500 bucks!!!!!!

I have to disagree. I am a commercial photographer so I have only shot 2 events. Tried to turn them down. That is a whole other story. At any rate I had tons of people ask for my card. Networking is the photographers best marketing tool.

Most (all?) of the books I've read that were written by wedding/event photographers reccomend networking with the vendors. Also isn't part of offering the photos online for all of the guests to view as well as the client a way of marketing to "cousin sue" who might be having an event in the same city next year? At several of the weddings I have been to as a guest the photog handed out business cards (disguised with a "wedding photos password" theme). To the O.P. Congrats I really like #3 as the concensus seems to be. I hope this opens even more doors for you.
