Jeju Island.
Beautiful place, I was there maybe 3 years ago.

I think the last one would have been nice if done with some HDR techniques.
To bring out the sharpness on land, and bring out some heavy detail in the clouds

we took a trip to U-do island (U-do is the korean word for cow, and the isaland has this name as it is shaped like cow), and had a lovely sunny day walking up the main hill on the island. I've never really considered macro photography before, but find myself considering the Pentax 645 FA 120 macro lens which I have heard really god things of. Yesterday it was the spider, today the 'praying' mantis's turn for the spotlight:

This sweet little girl was sat in front of us on the boat from a ride on a submarine that allows you to see fish below the surface. The children were given starfish at the end of the trip and her dad had been teasing her about the starfish and she was feeling sad because she thought that the starfish was sick. Myself and a colleague were sat behind with a korean colleague and we had a friendly exchange with her parents who were comfortable with me taking her photo.

On Our last day on this beautiful island, am typing this in Seoul.


This is Jeongbang waterfall, which falls 23 metres, directly into the sea.

We then went to a temple that was encouraging us to use cameras, even telling us to use flash. I liked the look of this dragon from the second floor and took it at an angle.

After a lunch of pheasant shaboushabou (meat cooked in stock and then stock used to cook noodles and then rice - very good and very filling), we went to a green tea museum and I had a green tea cappuccino, which looked a little strange but actually tasted very good
