Back from Maliau Basin a week ago: Maliau Basin | Up Close with Nature

Just a few for now.

Longhorn beetle, Gnoma subfasciata, female.

Dead leaf mantis, Deroplatys truncata, female

Violin beetle. Absolutely amazing beetle: Mormolyce sp. Violin beetles are ground beetles (Carabidae) in the subfamily Lebiinae. Never heard of this until I saw one. Wasn't sure it was a beetle either but good thing a friend of us had a insect guide book on hand
