A Few Garden Pictures

Here are some of my latest attempts in the garden.

1. A bee on a cone flower. I finally got a pretty good shot. The bee would not sit still for a second!

2. A yellow flower in my mother's garden. I believe that it may be a Maximillian Sunflower.

3. This wasp eventaully became very interested in the camera.
It seemed to follow the sound of the focus and followed me from flower to flower.

Brilliantly sharp photos here. Wow. They are all good. All three of them. The bee is so sharp, but I also like the insect-free yellow flower against the black background. How did you get that?

The flowers are planted at the corner of my mother's house. The sun was angled just right to brilliantly light the flowers, but put the side of the house in deep shadows. By taking the photo at just the right angle, I was able to give the flower a black background.

Love the first one especially with the Bee

The first one is also my favorite one of the three. That was taken at my mother's house and the bee wouldn't sit still for anything! I finally got this one clear shot.
