A few Summer Daylilies

Great shots, Joel. The water really helps give them interest. My only nit-pick is that bright background in the third, but you take what you can get with some subjects.

Scott, thanks so much. These were part of my test session to see just how I could control the light out in the field. The day was hot, humid, and not a cloud in the sky. I used a water spray bottle to wet the flowers. the 1st shot shows you just how strong the light was. The last image was taken in the same exact conditions except I used a almost white plain Jane umbrella held as high from the plant as I could get to create soft diffused light. I used a cable shutter release to be able to move around. The umbrella works well when it wasn't too close to the flower as it just blocked too much light up close. You should have seen the looks I got. I thought for sure I'd end up being locked up as a nut case.

The 2nd one looks like an orange peal lol. Nice job.
