I like you bokeh in the first. We only get a GLIMPSE of the "suddenly five" that you got there . Very nicely done!

Cool action in the second ... was there anything going to happen that you are not going to name on "our friendly family forum"???

And a bit of heron-choir performance in the last, eh?
You really put up position there and remained immobile for two whole hours in order to get these photos???

Oh No Its an old saying in the UK about the Bus service, you wait 30minutes for a bus then 3 turn up at once

You're not complaining, are ya? Those are nice captures! I love the tall grass and flowers. Is it silly to ask what they were doing there? I always think of them as wading birds/fisheaters, yet in that third shot it looks like one is eating something. (And if these were taken at a zoo, I'm gonna feel pretty silly)

They were taken in a meadow which is next to the Hawk Conservancy and at about 16.30 they throw all the unused food in the meadow and within 10 minutes there are about 15 Herons, 5 red kits, buzzards etc etc etc all over the place
