I took this photo near a ghost town in MT.

Then I thought I'd play with Photoshop.

I desaturated, added some red in curves and played with the contrast and brightness. How did it turn out? Thoughts on the original shot?

i prefer the original
i think maybe you added too much brightness in photoshop because the grass behind is now very bright and its hard to make out the inscription.
thats if you were wanting the inscription to be read of course! ;)

i do like the tone of the 2nd shot, but i think if u maybe just tweak that brightness down a little...

but then im no expert, i just am telling u what i like :sillysmi:

Thanks for the tip. I really like the original better myself, but felt like playing a bit.

The grass area to the left of the stone seems to be a real hotspot, where most of any detail has been overexposed. If possible, I'd return during early morning or even night-time to take the same photo... spooky!
