A lil advice please

I am getting more and more into DSLRs even though I do not have one yet. From going to stores and playing around with them I have come to a decision on the Canon Rebel XTI. My problem now is the lense. I guess it would be my only one for a while after getting the camera, other than a macro (I love takin macro shots) so I guess I am looking for a great all around lense sure clarity. Seeing as this would most likely be my most frequently used lense price doesn't matter so much. So what do you think?

You have mainly two options, I would say. Either go for a zoom or just get a 50mm. You'll probably prefer the zoom, but personally I would prefer the 50mm. It can be as "all-around" as a 28-300mm (by the way, I would not recommed just large range covering lenses...)

as for one zoom in particular, I'll let the many Canon shooters here comment

I am not trying to only rely on one lense, but a decent one that I could bring with when I am not 100% what I will end up shooting and can't bring all of the lenses.

Well if price doesn't matter this http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/239648-USA/Canon_7261A002_Zoom_Super_Wide_Angle.html would be a great starter lens. There is really no "all around" lens one of the purposes of an SLR is the flexibility of changing lenses when you can so a good basic lens to start with would be a nice wide to a little zoom and then go from there.
