Ok, Before I order this I must be sure that it will indeed auto focus with my little D40??? It has the HSM so I assume it should Thanks

It should, but you could always call and ask first to make sure.

I was very happy when I found this (Thanks to whoever it was that told me about it) since I was not going to have to get the AF-S 70-200 by Nikon that is running at $1700
