A photographer's Christmas

Alright, everybody...let me begin by saying that I'm beyond blessed. I remember my parents owning some camera equipment long ago, but I hadn't seen it in at least 15 years. This morning, I asked my father about the equipment and he pulled out a camera bag with the following:

Nikon MD-2
Nikon MD-12
Nikon Nikkor 105mm 1:2.5
Nikon Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8
Nikon Nikkor 35mm 1:2.8
Nikon Nikkor 85mm 1:2
Tiffen 52mm Sky 1-A
Hoya 52mm UV
Cokinlight 52mm Skylight 1-A
Kalt 1A 52mm


The old SLRs are completely out of my knowledge base, so any thoughts/recommendations would be appreciated...and to be quite honest, I'm new to most of the filters, so feel free to chime in with any thoughts/advice. I'll obviously be researching this stuff for my own knowledge, but thanks for any input!

The following was taken with my D40 and the kit lens. I'm also in the market for a new DSLR and I'm thinking about the D3200.

Nice; great collection! That's some excellent gear- you can have a lot of fun with that.
