A 'Powerless' Combination

With two ice storms coming through the area and some dense fog that froze to powerlines as well this is the picture that took over for much of Monday and Tuesday. Dense fog and a thick layer of ice on the powerlines...

I thought the picture was pretty good, except the ice on the powerlines I guess isn't as eyecapturing as I hoped.. But nonetheless, what do you think?? Critiques welcome as always...

Overall it's a good phots. Really conveys *cold*. I think it could use a little touch up in PS.

I did the best I could with my photo software, I don't actually have PS so a lot of my photos remain virtually untouched by software.

It does look VERY cold, and very grey, and meets my mood very much, for that is the kind of weather we've been having for virtually weeks now - save the ice. Thankfully... only on one day was the fog freezing fog (day before yesterday) ... a couple of my photos taken on that day are here (http://www.thephotoforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38430), though I took more, many of them as grey as yours here.

it definitely conveys a wintery mood... the lack of activity adds to the shot too, although i'm sure that nobody wanted to be out in this... i know i wouldn't! :mrgreen:
