A question about backdrops

I was wondering if anybody knows if I buy a large piece of sheer fabric, and clip it over my white backdrop, will it work? I would just like to ask before I go spend the money on it just to find out it would never work to begin with. Thanks!!

Should work fine as long as you don't expect to get an absolutely flat background. My set up shots are mostly head/shoulder portraits and product so I been using short pile fleece for backdrops. This stuff is really inexpensive, does not reflect, does not wrinkle, comes in lots of different colors and washes up very well.
