A quick snap

I took this picture in Central Park, New York. The squarrel sat there for just a second and took off as soon as I clicked. Lucky shot, I suppose .

Is it sharp enough to allow for a close crop on the skirrel alone?

Actually, this picture was taken with my old Minolta, & then scanned. So, I don't think it's sharp enough when cropped, unless I leave it smaller. Plus, I'm not really sure how to crop it. Do you like this one better, LaFoto?

It looked sharper in the original scan... maybe you can try to play with luminosity and contrasts in the crop now? It is a photo that I would like to get only just for ONCE but our squirrels are sooooo fast, I ever only get to see them running up the trees. Never posing! (Or as road kill, which is when they are very still but no longer a nice sight.... )

I know, they're quick little creatures. Unfortunately, not quick enough to get off the road in time... I hate to see that.
I added a little contrast and sharpened the image. I guess I still like the uncropped version better.
