Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I went to Amsterdam and got lucky finding some swans swimming in the "grachten".

Please tell me what you think, I'm not sure I exposed them right...

Thank you for looking!

I love number 3 and the expression on number 4ii (you might want to renumber them!)

They look a little flat, contrastwise, on my screen but my screen is a bit dodgy so that doesn't mean much. Did you play with brightness/contrast at all?

Thank you raindrops...
I did play with contrast on 4 and 5...
additionally i used the exposure thing in the raw pics as they were a little overexposed in some areas of the feathers...

good exposure on swans are very difficult but you did very well!!

Once again, you did a marvelous job with these!

On my screen (which isn't exactly reliable) they show up a tad bit dark, so assuming you did shoot in RAW I would push the exposure just a tad bit more. Some added contrast will help too.

The detail is amazing.

Great shots. 1 , 3 and 4 are my faves

Thank you guys!
really appreciate the comments!
Could anyone tell me what kind of lens would be the best to use on such shots?
I took these with an old Canon EF100-300 1:5.6 lens.

Something tells me they are a bit on the dark side (and my screen is really bright), but some other little voice keeps chiming in that swans are not THAT white in nature, so I think your portrait in Photo 3 just hits it! Very good!
