A Week in Okinawa, Japan (picture-heavy)

Just got back from Okinawa! Sadly, I struggled with cloudy, gloomy weather the entire week I was there. I got up early as hell several mornings only to be greeted by a gray, depressing scene at sunrise.

Climbing down a rocky cliff/steep hill was totally worth it to get these shots on the second day:

yeah you sure did get the poor rainy season in Okinawa. I've been here for almost 5 years and this is some of the hardest times to get some really good photos.

Yeah, it sure seems that way. I'm nearly out of time for my tour in Japan, and I figured I'd spend a week in Okinawa to escape the cold on the mainland for a while. My hope was that a week would be enough time that I could just wait it out and get some good weather, but sadly, that didn't quite happen.

We'll see what I get during 15 months in Turkey, and if that doesn't pan out, I've got three years in Hawaii coming up!
