I can't tell what it is either. At first i thought it might be some sort of wood until I looked at pic #2 & 3. I am looking forward to finding out what it is.

I find it easiest to accept #'s 1 & 2 as abstracts. Composition on #1 is excellent. #'s 3 & 4 are a bit closer to reality -- I'm distracted from seeing them as compositions by trying to figure out what they are photographs of. [Sorry 'bout the terminal preposition 'of.']
