Advertising/Marketing?

Hey guys, with the start of the new year I'm looking to expand my business a little through some marketing... Up until this point it's mostly been word of mouth and in 2016 I had 2-3 paid shoots per month.

How do you guys advertise and draw in new clients? What methods have you found to be most cost effective?

Obviously this varies greatly by location and target market, but I'm just looking for some general ideas.
