I was looking into advertising in a monthly magazine...

Do these rates look outlandish or normal? It's a magazine that covers my local area - which is all I need. I'd like to concentrate primarily on my local area for the moment. I'm thinking of going for a marketplace advert with maybe a 3 month trial run.

Hm, I got a quote about a week ago for a quarter page ad, which would run 12 times (once a month) in 3 local magazines: 395.- a month.

A half page would be 595.- a month, but just like the one above, only if booked 12 months in a row.

I advertise in national and local magazines. In my experience the local magazine rates have always been higher. The rates you posted are not out of line with the ones I encounter.
