advice on quantum t-2D

Hello, I am looking to buy a used Quantum T-2D flash unit. I have a Canon 430ez. At the time I needed a flash and the Canon 580ez was beond my reach.
The Canon 430ez is a great little flash. but I am looking to have a better spread of light. The quality of the light is different also. Someone looking to have new images
are looking to seperate themselfs from everybody else. I would rather have a T-5D. the mony just not there right noww.
Should I buy the T-2D or wait until I can buy a better unit?
Your input would be helpful.
