Aftermath of 50cm of snow in 18hrs

On the East coast of Canada, we recently had a massive winter storm. I couldn't get out of my house, so had to partially dig myself out!

Anyways, today I took a picture of the lamps on my garage. Let me know what you think.

Brrr! I'm glad we don't get that kind of snow here. They are both very interesting shots. It took me awhile to figure otu what #1 was even with your explanation. Looks more like the entrance of a cave from the inside. I think out of the two I like #2 the best. I can't decide if I like or dislike the light being blown. Love the texture on the wall though.

I love #2, also. We got some snow here today in Pittsburgh, but not nearly as much as you. I'd estimate our snowfall at about 4 inches.

thank you very much for the kind words ;-) Are there any tricks of the trade I can do to reduce the light being blown out? I usually reduced the appeture size, and increase the exposure time, and it seems to work pretty well.

Any other ideas?

#2 is very interesting, I love the textures.

I thought it was cold today when I got up, 67F, but I guess I can't complain...lol I wish I lived in Canada...much about my country disgust me at this point. But that is for another topic/day.
