No, I'm not from Hawaii, but it would be nice if I was -- it's cold on the East Coast! (Although, granted, snow and ice do make for some pretty awesome photos.)
My name is Kate, and I lean very much towards the artistic side of life. Foremost is creative writing, which will be my college major next year, but I've recently become absolutely fascinated with photography. I'm not terribly good (hmm--is that an oxymoron?) yet, but that's partly why I joined up here! I also love reading and physical activity; it's a pity the two can't be combined. The camera I have is an Olympus, Stylus 1010...so, don't expect uber-professional photos, what with manually-adjusted white focus and all. I do try to sharpen them up a bit on Photobucket, but changing them too much can take away from the original picture, so I don't go too crazy.
