Amongst the Lupins

I took these in Arthurs Pass, i was planning on taking some HDR pics.
But it was so windy! I was kneeling and waiting and waiting and waiting for a break in the gusts, then click.

I like the 2nd photo -- very nice. How about a burn down on the background and more contrast overall?

Yes i like that Joe,
This will sound very cliched, but i only got aperture for my mac yesterday.
So this is my first play at editing, not just the odd crop!
And i did have all the sliders and buttons going, so thanks for the input.
