I was out scoping out some new places to photograph today when I ran across this "waterfall" in an area park. I decided to see if I could get a good cascade shot without a ND filter (just to see if I could). All things considered I am happy with the result, but I still want to get my hands on a good ND filter :) Shot with T2i, kit 18-55mm lens, shooting at F36 1/8ss (any slower and it washed out, any faster lost too much of the blur I was wanting). The first shot is no filter at all. Second shot I got my CPL out and squeaked it from 1/8 to 1/4 before things started blowing out.

The polarizer filtered photo is too gray in tone but the exposure is more balanced.

I just got a Hoya ND filter but haven't tried it yet.

LOL, I actually kind of understood him.. I realized the white balance was off a touch in the shot with the CPL, so I "fixed" it, see if this is any better

That's better. Not only watch for overexposed white areas in the water, but on the tops of the rocks too, like in your top left photo.
